I took this picture in the parking lot of 7-11 the other morning while I waited for Lara to buy Rockstars. Shopping cart bums are somewhat of a rarity in Salt Lake, so to see one so fully loaded up was a surprise. Interestingly, the carts owner was nowhere to be found during the 5-6 minutes I was waiting. Lara said they weren’t inside either. For some reason it made me think of the old man in Clerks…
Update: Kansas suggested that the bum may be hiding inside the cart waiting to jump out at anyone who got too close. I’m wondering if the cart is actually a venus bum-trap, loaded up with goods to entice a bum to get closer, at which time he is snatched up and devoured.
