Slow on the updates….

I was in California last weekend for Nocturnal Wonderland. As some of you know, I ran a travel company back in 2000 and 2001 specifically for the purposes of busing kids out to Insomniac Events parties. This was the first time I’d been out there for Nocturnal in about 5 years.

We also had to stop in Hermosa Beach because its about 3 miles from where I used to live and its always like going home. Being labor day they had a huge street festival blocking off several streets. Finding parking was a bitch, and I seriously thought that the occupants of the car were going to murder each other in furious rage by the time we found parking. After that it was smooth sailing. There were a ton of booths with everything from clothes to jewelry to art and even kittens. I saw the cutest kitten to ever walk the planet at the festival. Unfortunately, I didn’t live local and so the kitty had to stay in California. I really hope that someone took him home!

On another note, I’ve been invited to showcase my stenciled clothing in a fashion show in October. Public scrutiny has motivated me to find more fashionable clothing to stencil than the plain black and white tshirts ive been working with previously. I got a line on some really nice pieces and I’m excited to get to work. Along with the new clothing I’ve been working on some new stencil design concepts. Stencil is a tricky medium, especially working with clothes, and its made even more tricky by the fact that I don’t have a purpose-built working environment in which to operate. I really think that these pieces are going to turn out great though. I’ll post pictures here as they become available.
